Picture Data: Renaming photos

To rename your photos, please follow these steps:
- Select the photos you’d like to rename.
- Click the File menu.
- Select Rename.
- Enter the name you’d like to apply. You have the option of automatically adding the date or image resolution to the filename.
- Click the Rename button.
Since no two files can have the same name, renaming multiple photos at once will prompt Picasa to include sequential numbers in the filenames. For example, if you select 12 photos from a family picnic and choose to rename them ‘picnic,’ the files will be named ‘picnic-1.jpg’ through ‘picnic-11.jpg.’
