Hidden Folders: Hiding and unhiding folders
You can choose to hide and password protect entire folders from view in the Picasa Library. This doesn’t affect the ability to view the photos on your hard drive. Below you’ll find instructions on how to hide and unhide folders in Picasa:
Hide folders
1. In the Folder List, select the folder that you’d like to hide.
2. Click the Folder menu.
3. Select Hide.
You can also right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) the folder name and select Hide from the menu. If you haven’t created a password for the Hidden Folders collection, you will be prompted to do so. All folders you hide will only be available in the Hidden Folders collection, located at the bottom of your Folder List. To access your hidden folders, select the Hidden Folders collection (in the Flat Folder view) and enter your password.
There is no way to recover forgotten passwords, but you can always clear your existing password.
Unhide folders
1. Click the Hidden Folders collection in your Folder List.
2. When prompted, enter your password.
3. Click OK.
4. In the Hidden Folders collection, select the folder that you’d like to unhide.
5. Click the Folder menu.
6. Click Unhide.
You can also right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) the hidden folder and select Unhide from the menu. After unhiding a folder, you can access it in its original location on the Folder List.
